Use only what is needed
Optimizing film thickness, width, and resin selection can reduce plastic use per bundle while maintaining the strength and holding performance the product needs. Less unnecessary material means less packaging waste and can reduce the energy used to produce that material.
Recycle valuable material
Collecting and recycling suitable plastic keeps material in use and reduces waste sent for disposal. Using recovered material can reduce demand for virgin resin and save energy compared with producing new plastic from raw resources.
Design for the whole cycle
Evaluate material reduction and recycled-content options alongside product protection and the available recycling route. Actual savings depend on the film, production process, and collection system; performance should be verified before reducing film weight.
The bottles and outer shrink film may require different recycling routes. Check the finished packaging structure and local collection guidance before recycling.
